Charisse: Bio

Her voice has been compared to Roberta Flack, Patti Austin, Lalah Hathaway & Sade.

Charisse is a singer/songwriter/composer who's been writing since she was 14.
Her original song "I Fall" has been her most requested song to date.
It was nominated for the 2009 JPF Independent Music Awards for Best Smooth Jazz/ R&B Song.
The Italian version "E Non So" has been recorded by Paola & Chiara on their new album "Milleluci".

"I Fall' has caught the attention of Roberta Flack, Ashford & Simpson and Queen Latifah, to name a few.
"I was thrilled when Queen Latifah actually bought a copy of my cd from me personally."

Charisse attended Lincoln Square Academy for the performing arts,
shortly after she joined a local band called "Jamilah" which helped
boost the careers of Keith Sweat and Rainy Davis.

Charisse has performed at the world famous Apollo Theater, and at numerous NYC venus like The Bitter End, Avery Fischer Hall, The Lambs Theater, and has shared the stage with Tito Puente, Dave Valentine, Paquito D'Rivera, The Whispers and more.
She has also been a regular singer at Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar's Thursday Night Open Mike.

A Featured vocalist for Jennifer Love Hewitt, Deborah Gibson, and Pete Belasco's single "Deeper."

Has worked with;
Will Downing, Johnny Kemp, Mark Whitfield, Nicki Richards,
Bob Baldwin, Coleridge Taylor Perkinson, Melba Moore,
